HOW DO WE HANDLE YOUR INFORMATION?
Unlicensed Studio is a creative studio that also operates an online store and a web application with user accounts. Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect the following information: when you contact us through our enquiry or contact forms, we collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message; when you create an account, we collect your email address, password (stored in hashed form), and any profile details you choose to provide; when you make a purchase from our store, we collect your name, billing and shipping address, email, phone number, and payment details necessary to fulfil your order; and as you browse our site or use our app, we automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, and basic usage analytics to help us improve the experience. With your consent, we may also send you occasional emails about new work, products, or updates from the studio.
CONSENT
How do we obtain your approval? When you provide personal details to complete a specific task — for example sending us a message through a contact form, creating an account, placing an order, or processing a payment, refund, or delivery — we take this as your consent to collect and use that information for that purpose. For any other use, such as marketing emails, product announcements, or newsletters, we will ask for your explicit consent and always offer you a clear option to opt out. How can you revoke your approval? If you change your mind, you can withdraw your consent for us to contact you, or to continue collecting, using, or disclosing your information, at any time by emailing us at hello@unlicensedstudio.com.
DISCLOSURE
We may disclose your personal information if we are required to do so by law, or if you violate our Terms of Service.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
We rely on a number of trusted third-party providers to run the studio, store, and application — including payment processors, hosting and cloud infrastructure providers, email and analytics tools, and customer support platforms. As a rule, these providers only access and use your data to the extent required to perform the services we ask of them. Some providers, particularly those involved in payment processing, have their own privacy policies governing the information we must share with them to complete your transaction, and we encourage you to read those policies to understand how your data is handled. Some of these providers may operate outside your country or ours, which means your information may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions. Once you leave our site or app — for example by following an external link — our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service no longer apply, and we recommend reviewing the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
SECURITY
We take reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect your personal information against accidental loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration. Account passwords are stored using strong one-way hashing, traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted in transit using TLS, and payment details are handled by PCI-DSS compliant payment processors — we do not store full card numbers on our own servers. While no method of transmission or electronic storage is ever completely secure, we follow widely recognised industry practices to keep your information safe.
COOKIES
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep our site and app working properly and to understand how they're used.
